Across Tanzania Expeditions

My name is Hezron Asunga, and I was born in Tanzania on the shores of Lake Victoria and come from a community which is known as the River-Lake Nilotes.  This is the second largest  community after the Bantus.  My tribe is called LUO; a people who are known to occupy the shores of big rivers and lakes because they depend on fishing for their livelihood. When I was a young boy my father took me to my uncle's in Kenya for schooling where I finished a four year course in Wildlife & Tourism Management in 1990.  Since it was a very remote area in Kenya, where we co-habitated with the wild animals, I developed a deep interest in and sincere passion for wild animals.  From 1991 to 1994, I did field work practicals and animal research in Kenyan & Tanzanian National Parks.  I then went to Sweden from 1995 to 1997 for Advanced Study in Wildlife & Tourism Managemement.  Coming home in 1998, I worked in Kenyan & Tanzanian National Parks as a tour guide until 2003, which is when I started working in Tanzanian National Parks as a tour guide and wildlife lecturer in one of the wildlife institutes in Tanzania.  In 2007, I finally decided to start fulfilling my dreams of guiding private safaris in Tanzania's National Parks.  I believe with my extensive knowledge and experience, combined with my intense love for my country, nature, and its wonderful diversity of animal life, I can give my clients the best bush experience possible in Africa.  I will do everything within my power to make this more than just a dream vacation for you; hopefully imparting my deep connection with nature and a sense of peace you have never experienced before.
I would also like to take the time to mention that I donate ten percent of all my profits to the Samaritan Village Orpanage in Arusha, Tanzania of East Africa. It is a non-profit organization that has ben serving orphans since 1996.  For more information on the village, you may go to www.samaritan-village.org.  Below are some pictures taken at the village.
