Four Days - Lake Manyara/Ngorongoro Crater/The Serengeti
Day 1:
- After breakfast drive to Lake Manyara National Park
This beautiful park is at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment and is composed of forest, woodland, grasslands, and swamps. - Picnic lunch at the park
- Proceed with an afternoon game drive at the park
Your first view as you approach Lake Manyara National Park is spectacular, regardless of your direction of approach. From the east, the Rift Valley escarpment looms on the horizon forming an impressive backdrop to the lake. If you come from the west and pause at the top of the escarpment, the park lies in a green strip below, the lake glistening in the sunlight. - Dinner and overnight at the Lake Manyara lodge.

Day 2:
- After breakfast, transfer to The Serengeti. The park is teaming with stunning wildlife. It is believed that over 3 million large mammals roam the plains.
- Picnic lunch at the park
- Game drive at Seronera in vast open plains punctuated by rocky outcrops
The extensive grasslands are interspersed with kopjes - rocky outcrops like islands in the flat plain, each with their own wildlife communities. - Dinner and overnight at the lodge

Day 3:
- Sunrise adventure to the western corridor
It is the migration for which Serengeti is perhaps most famous. Over a million wildebeest and about 200,000 zebras flow south from the northern hills to the southern plains for the short rains every October and November, and then swirl west and north after the long rains in April, May, and June. So strong is the ancient instinct to move that no drought, gorge, or crocodile infested river can hold them back. - Brunch at the lodge
- Transfer to game drive en route
- Dinner and overnight at the Ngorongoro lodge

Day 4:
- Morning adventure at the crater floor (home of the big five)
The crater hosts an estimated 30,000 animals on its floor, including large herds of cape buffalo, wildebeest, eland, hartebeest, elephant, hippo, lions, and the endangered black rhino. - Picnic lunch on the crater floor
- Afternoon game drive on the crater floor
Ngorongoro Crater is thought by many to be the 8th natural wonder of the world. Twelve miles wide, 2000 feet deep, and covering an area of 102 square miles, it is the largest intact volcanic crater on earth and home to a spectacular concentration of wildlife. - Transfer to Arusha for overnight
- End of safari

The animals are not trapped in the crater, and there is some migratory movement in and out, but because of the protected nature of the habitat and the availability of grazing and water, much of the animal population remains resident year round. This makes Ngorongoro ideal for game viewing. There are several prides of lions, and some of the last surviving rhino to be found in Tanzania. - Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro lodge.

- Dinner and Overnight at Ngorongoro Lodge
Day 6

It is the vast number of baobabs that first capture the eye as you enter Tarangire National Park. The gently rolling countryside is dotted with these majestic trees, which seem to dwarf the animals that feed beneath them. - Morning game drive in Tarangire National Park
The park is spectacular in the dry season when many of the migratory wildlife species come back to the permanent waters of Tarangire River. - Picnic lunch at the park
- Afternoon game drive in Tarangire National Park. Huge herds of wildebeest, zebra, elephants, eland, and oryx gather to stay in Tarangire until the onset of the rains when they migrate again to better grazing areas.
