Itinerary

Day 1
Arrival in Arusha

Upon arrival at the airport (Kilimanjaro International Airport-JRO or Arusha Airport-ARK), you will be met by our representative and get a short brief and drive to your accommodation in Arusha. Enjoy an overnight stay waiting for your adventures to start on the following day.

Day 2
Arusha to Tarangire National Park

After breakfast at the hotel, depart for Tarangire, Tanzania’s third-largest national park and sanctuary for an unusually large elephant population. Majestic baobab trees are an interesting feature of the park, dwarfing the animals that feed beneath them. Animals concentrate along the Tarangire River, which provides the only permanent water supply in the area. There is a great diversity of wildlife including lion, leopard, cheetah and up to six thousand elephants. Enjoy a game drive with a picnic lunch. Dinner and your overnight stay are at your accommodation.

Day 3
Karatu to Central Serengeti

After breakfast, you will continue towards the fertile highlands where wheat, coffee and corn are grown by the Iraqw people. Passing through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, you will be able to see the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater before traveling onwards to the Serengeti National Park. You will have a picnic lunch on the way and reach Serengeti in the afternoon. The Serengeti National Park is the largest park in Tanzania with diverse landscapes and habitats, such as grassy plains, swamps, lakes, savannah and mountains. After an extensive game drive, you will drive to your accommodation where you will enjoy dinner and your overnight

Day 4
Central Serengeti to North Serengeti

Early morning after breakfast, we will proceed with an early morning game drive in the heart of the Serengeti National Park for game viewing with our well-packed picnic lunchboxes. On our way, we will spot animals starting from the big cats as well as herbivores like the zebras, buffalo, and thousands of gazelles before driving to the north of the Serengeti also known as Kogatende following the great migration. After having lunch inside the park, we will drive straight to the northern Serengeti to your accommodation where you will have dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 5
Full Day on the North of Serengeti Kogatende

Enjoy another majestic full day in the Kogatende area following the great migration of more than a million wildebeests and more than 250,000 zebras accompanied by antelopes. You will explore the vast Serengeti with its endless plains looking for the big cats as well as the migrating herds.
The migrating herds are found on the northern Serengeti during the months of July to October before heading to Masai Mara. If you’re lucky enough, here is the best place to witness the wildebeests crossing the Mara River as well as the hungry crocodiles hunting their prey. After lunch and a further game drive, you will head back to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 6
Kogatende to Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Early morning after breakfast, you will drive straight to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. On the way you will see animals such as gazelles, zebras, giraffes, hippos and more. You can also catch a glimpse of predators on their hunt. Big cats can be spotted on the way and more than 500 birds species. You will reach the Naabi gate and will have a picnic lunch and then checkout. Afterwards, drive straight to your accommodation at the edge of the crater for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 7
Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha

After breakfast, drive straight to Ngorongoro Crater for game viewing. The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the largest unbroken calderas on the planet with over 25,000 wild creatures in the caldera and more prides per capita than anywhere on earth. The Ngorongoro Crater is a breathtakingly beautiful setting and the best place in East Africa to see the Big Five—lions, leopards, black rhinos, elephants, and buffalo. It is one of the world’s most astonishing and among the 8th Wonders of the World and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The black rhino can easily be sighted in the crater. How much is luxury Safari in Tanzania?

A mid-range safari with lodging runs $350 to $400 per person, per day while a high end luxury safari with all the trimmings ranges from $600 to about $1000 per person, per day.

Is it expensive in Tanzania?

Tanzania is one of the poorest countries in the world. Daily life is affordable and you can take a trip to Tanzania without breaking your purse strings. Sleeping, eating and getting around is cheap but costs will rocket the moment you go on safari or organize a Kilimanjaro climb.

What is the best month/ season to visit Tanzania?

The best season to visit Tanzania is during the long dry season, which falls from July to September. These are considered the best months for safaris, the Great Migration, trekking, and beach holidays in Zanzibar. Of course, these months are peak travel season.
